Glen Eden Memorial Park built and administers The Redeemer Columbarium at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. The Columbarium and the increased preference for cremation has made it possible to renew the age-old tradition of the burial of church members on the church’s property.
The Columbarium is an arrangement of niches into which an urn, containing cremated remains is permanently placed. This contemplative, brick-finished Columbarium Garden was built to compliment the façade of the church building, which itself is modeled after the Martha-Mary Chapel at Greenfield Village. Featuring elegant trees, flowering shrubs and benches for visiting family and friends, the focal point of the Garden area is a majestic bronze sculpture of Christ the Redeemer. Principally for members of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, the columbarium is also open to all Christians, as is Glen Eden. For more information, click here.
