Women’s Events

Girls Night!  Have you heard of the old expression, “Don’t have a pot to plant a petunia in?” Well, now you will when you join Women’s Ministry in Royal Oak on Tuesday, October 24, 6:30 at Creative Studios where you will pick a piece of green ware, paint it and have it fired, resulting in a beautiful and permanent reminder of Redeemer Girl’s Night Out! Cost is $8.00 to fire your piece and whatever cost of the piece you choose. We will have adult beverages, appetizers/desserts and all the fellowship a girl can handle. Sign up in the Town Square and join in the fun. Paint a platter, a piggy bank, a cup/saucer, pot or pie pan. You choose, you paint, you pay and rejoice that you can. See you there!!!  Sign up HERE

Advent by Candlelight Sign Up!  Make out your guest list, check your crystal and china, get over to church at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 22 to sign up for a table at Advent by Candlelight – 2017. Your directors, Nancy Lesinski and Anna Lewis are looking forward to signing you up and hope you will encourage other women in your circle to do a table this year as well. We are so looking forward to this very special evening of music, praise, cozy stories, and, most importantly, preparation for Advent and the coming of Christmas. We all know how to make Christmas dinner, wrap Christmas presents, & throw a Christmas party. What we really need in our hearts is peace, reverence, trust and love for a Savior born just for us in a manger in Bethlehem. You will have no questions where your heart should be………right in that manger with Him. If you cannot make the sign up morning you can have someone proxy for you or you can call Kitty and get on the list for a table. After everyone has gone through the line the list will be noted and you will receive first available. Questions? Call Kitty at 248-644-4010 or email misskitty@redeemerbirmingham.org. Advent by Candlelight is one of the most treasured evenings our women spend together. Please join us.

Women’s Book Group in November: We will meet on Tuesday, November 21st at 7:00 pm in the Town Square to read Salt to the Sea by Ruta Septetys who spins a story of intrigue, betrayal and great tragedy in the sinking of the Wilhelm Gusthoff, a German cruise ship conscripted for ferrying the military and refugees at the end of World War II in 1945. Torpedoed by a Russian submarine, the people who struggle to survive each have a special story to share and it is in this book their tales are told. A complete reading list for 2017-2018 is available in the box outside Kitty’s door. Join us please!!!
