Ways to Serve

What do you want to do with your Christian walk this year? Let’s all get more involved and get a closer relationship with Jesus! How can we help you with this at Redeemer? A lot goes on here, you could:

ATTEND A WORSHIP SERVICE

More about worship!  If you can’t attend, watch it on Livestream, watch the prior week service on your local Community Television channel on Sunday afternoon, or listen to a past podcast on podbean.

HELP WITH A PARTICULAR MINISTRY

What ministry speaks to you?

GO TO A BIBLE STUDY OR JOIN A SMALL GROUP

You don’t have to have any experience or prior knowledge. We have lots of groups: adult, men’s, women’s, community, core group (high school age), as well as many small groups that meet here at church or at home.  Bible Studies page

HOST A COFFEE HOUR

A fellowship coffee hour is offered after 8:00 service and between the 9:00 and 10:30 services.  It’s a great place to meet new people and observe the friendly, relaxed camaraderie that is enjoyed by Redeemer’s congregation.  To host go to our Fellowship page.

TEACH SUNDAY SCHOOL

We have a 9:00am and a 10:30am Sunday school program here each week.  Contact Nicole Olds to find out more!

ATTEND ACTIVITIES OR FELLOWSHIP EVENTS

Check out the Upcoming Events Page to find out what events are coming up!  Church Fellowship events, Men’s events, Redeemer Social, Prime Timer’s Pot Luck Dinners, Women’s Ministry events, Youth … and so much more!

JOIN A PRAYER MINISTRY

Provide intercessory prayer, praise and thanksgiving on behalf of the needs of our church, community & world.  To be part of our prayer chain, check out our prayer request page.

HELP WITH MISSIONS

Go on a mission trip, cook/serve for the Soup Kitchen, put together meals for Kids Against Hunger, support a mission with our Alternative Gifts for Others (projects through Samaritan’s Purse).     World Missions!     Community Missions!

VISIT A SENIOR OR SHUT-IN

Send a Shut-in a card or become a Sonshine Greeter!  Each of our 80 year old and over members receive either a card, bouquet of flowers, gift or visit from one of our members on their birthday.  Join in and make someone’s day with a kind birthday visit or surprise!

VOLUNTEER!!!

We can’t have a church without your help!  Do you like to: work outside in the garden, cook, bake, help with office duties, help with children, teach, pray for others, plan events, visit people, audio/video, archiving our church history, library, help at events, ….

If you’d like to know more about any of the above items or have your name added to any of these programs contact Pam Tyndall in the church office 248-644-4010 or ptyndall@redeemerbirmingham.org
