Prime Timers Sponsored Winter Event – Sunday, January 28th: Looking for something to do on a cold winter afternoon? The Prime Timers’ planning committee has a suggestion…join them for a nice, relaxing Sunday afternoon in the warm, cozy confines of Redeemer’s Great Room. A special program is planned, beginning at 2:00 p.m., entitled, “Belle Isle – The Jewel of Detroit” . It’s a narrated slide show presentation by Lori Feret that will share some interesting, and probably little-known facts about the history of this unique island oasis near the heart of the city of Detroit. Ownership of the island has transferred from the native Americans to the French, to the British, to the city of Detroit, and now is the 102nd Michigan State Park. Following this approximately 1½ hr. presentation and Q/A session, we’ll enjoy a light supper together. There is no charge and you do not need to bring anything – a freewill donation will be received. This promises to be a fun and informative afternoon of fellowship, so join us and bring a friend. Please sign up on the Town Square bulletin board or call/e-mail Gary Priskorn at 248.644.4010 ext.123 or email@example.com by January 22nd.
