Deck the Halls with boughs of holly – just in time for Advent and our walk to Christmas here at Redeemer. Please join us on Saturday, November 25 at 9:00 a.m., to help trim the trees, hang the wreaths, place the ornaments just so! Brunch will be served to all our wonderful helpers and a great smile of appreciation from all of us who love seeing our church home looking so lovely. There will be a sign up on the Town Square bulletin board. Also, last year, our mid-week team who brought up all the boxes and trees saved us valuable time on Saturday! We hope to see you back again this year. Volunteering is a wonderful way to serve God, Redeemer and her congregation. Questions? Call or email Kitty @ misskitty@redeemerbirmingham.org for more details. (P.S. Brunch is really good!!!J ) We will need you again when we take it all down on Sunday, January 7th following the 10:30 service. We will even feed you again!

Weekend to Remember! Wouldn’t it be great if “happily ever after” really were the end of the story? The difference between a good marriage and a great one is hard work. The FamilyLife organization is hosting a “Weekend to Remember” marriage getaway that offers couples biblical wisdom and a safe environment to work on their marriages, free from distractions (with no spilling your guts to strangers!). They are hosting these weekends throughout the country, but the one in Detroit is November 10th – 12th. Contact Laura McDonald for more information. There are discounts for signing up early and for large groups!

Parents Night Out! Planning a night out but don’t want the hassle of finding a babysitter? The teens of Youth Group are hosting a series of babysitting evenings to fundraise for their Spring Break 2018 mission trip! Our next one is on Friday, November 3rd! Fun activities for the evening will include open gym, arts and crafts, movies, and yummy snacks! Children of all ages are welcome! The cost is $20 for one child, $30 for two children, $35 for three children, and $40 for four children for the WHOLE NIGHT (5pm to 10pm)! You can sign up on the bulletin board in the Town Square, or just simply contact Laura McDonald and she will add your child(ren) to the list!
