“Fluff and Stuff”
Wednesday, November 7th; 5:30 – 8:00 pm (Dinner at 5:30 pm)
Writing, stuffing and stamping Christmas cards for our shut-ins and those in nursing homes in our area. Fluffing fleece blankets, tying the sides together, adding a prayer note and finishing each one off with a beautiful bow. Blankets will go to homeless men and women in the metro area. We need your help and your company in this heartfelt ministry! Adults, little kids and everyone in-between!! Confirmands can earn family service hours with this activity. Thanks to all who have inquired about using their coupons to purchase the fleece blanket kits at JoAnn’s Fabrics for our “Fluff and Stuff” service night in November in advance. Kits should measure 72”, with designs for men and women. Please do not pre-cut the blankets. We will do that at the event! If you wish to be reimbursed for your purchases please save your receipts and you will be repaid after September 1, 2018. Also, big favor: please keep fleece at your home until we contact you. Let Kitty know how many kits you have purchased so she and Laura can make sure we have enough for our event where we will cut, fold, tie and pray over each blanket! Sign up sheet is in the Town Square to reserve dinner! Questions? Call Laura McDonald or Miss Kitty!
